One day I read the following quote in a newsletter from Sounds True:1Sounds True is a multimedia publishing company, founded by Tami Simon in 1985.

The author of the quote sounded somewhat familiar. I wasn’t quite sure, though, so I became curious, Googled the name and was slowly guided into a new world.
It was a universe of beautiful flower paintings, land- and cityscapes, abstract paintings, wise quotes in abundance, several books written about the artist, as well as articles, movies, videos, blogs, and homepages about her life and work.
I became more and more fascinated by what I found. It was as if I could feel her paintings in my body. They touched me vicerally.
One night as I was looking at more of her beautiful works and reading about her life story as well as studying her birth chart, I suddenly felt a presence in the room — as if somebody was there and was embracing me. The feeling was so loving, warm and tender. My heart was deeply moved, and in that moment I just knew I wanted to write an article about her.
The next day I talked to my dear friend, Marianne Krogh Larsen, who is a spiritual medium and clairvoyant, and she confirmed for me that the presence I had felt was real. The artist had actually been in my study room, and she was very pleased with the interest I was showing her work.
This insight made me even more motivated for writing about her, and the following story is what has come out of it.
I invite you to join me on a journey into her wondrous, colourful, life-affirming, and at times painful, if not tragic, universe. Getting to know about her and her beautiful artworks has been — and may continue to be — life changing for me. And I wish just the same for you!
I also became motivated for diving deeper into the time in which she lived, with the Modernist movement the beginning of which seemed to coincide with the Neptune-Pluto conjunction and the overlapping opposition from Uranus to Pluto and later Neptune at the turn of the 20th century.
I have loved being motivated in this way. I do believe that art can change us, as it transforms the artist who creates it — and that there is a dwelling place for the artist in everyone continually ready to let life happen through us.
