We may have been taught that love and beauty of the perfect kind only exist in the heavens.
From Earth we gaze at the stars in awe, and Venus – the brightest one – after the Sun and Moon, is now reminding us that beauty and love create themselves continuously and in a spectacular, mysterious dance between Earth and the planet herself in their orbits around the Sun.

It all unfolds in the sacred proportion we call the golden mean and a holy sequence of numbers – creating a spiral equivalent to an archetypal blueprint found in art, design, architecture, and nature including human and animal bodies. Thus, perfect beauty and love do play out in the heavens. It’s just that we – the Earthlings – are indispensable dance partners, and we are remembering this now as a collective.
And an intriguing paradox is that the perfection of the geometrical imprints the journey of Venus creates through the Zodiac in relation to the Earth, is only approximate. About 99%. Perhaps an apt formula for love and beauty themselves reminding us that perfection encompasses all that is.
While Venus orbits the Sun a little faster than the Earth, her rotation on her own axis is very slow. One single Venus day lasts for 243 Earth days.
Everybody Is Born With a Venus Star Point in the Horoscope
When Venus and the Sun meet in a conjunction, prior to and sometimes on the very day you are born, your Venus Star Point is created. It is a gift of light from the Cosmic Heart, a beam of divine love poured through Venus and into your being. A creative talent that you possess from that very beginning.
You don’t need to do anything or struggle in any way to get access to the gift of your Venus Star Point. You receive it in the moment of embrace between the Sun and Venus. That moment has been beautifully baptized as Cazimi – an Arabic word meaning ‘In the heart of the Sun’.

“The Venus Star Point
is a heart center activation
that happens in the Womb
prior to our birth”
Arielle Guttman
Now Isn’t This a Wonder?
Your talent is dressed and moulded by the Sun sign in which the CAZIMI takes place, and the house position indicates the area of your earthly life where you will blossom with your genius.
Venus speaks to us in the language of beauty. When your eyes behold beauty, or when your body-mind senses magnificence, you know you are in touch with your unique talent.
Love is another aspect of this knowing. Venus, our Cosmic Sister, translates the divine light from the Sun into a love language we can only understand with our hearts. So your gift is a talent of the heart – and remember, you don’t have to do anything to acquire it. It is your innate expertise.
Every 8 years – on her journey through the sky as seen from Earth – Venus creates a 5-pointed star in the Zodiac. She alternates between interior and exterior conjunctions with the Sun approximately every 9.4 months. A time span corresponding to the length of a human pregnancy.
The five points are formed by the successive interior or exterior conjunctions, five of each. At the conjunctions, Venus alternates between becoming a morning star – visible in the Eastern sky before sunrise – and an evening star – visible in the Western sky after sunset. Venus is between the Earth and the Sun during the interior conjunction, and she is on the far side of the Sun at the exterior conjunction. 8 Earth years equals 13 Venus years.

The Venus cycle moves slowly in a clockwise direction through the Zodiac. It moves in the opposite direction of the planets (like the lunar nodes), and the full journey of a Venus Star Point through a single zodiacal sign takes approximately a century.
Metamorphic Underworld
The interior conjunction happens when Venus is retrograde and is closest to the Earth. Venus moves retrograde about every 18 months. Her retrograde phase lasts around 40 days, and half-way through, at the Cazimi, she changes her appearance from Evening Star to Morning Star. She is invisible in the sky for 2 to 18 days depending on where on the Earth you are located.
The retrograde phase of Venus is also called the metamorphic underworld – indicating her metamorphoses from Evening Star to Morning Star. And forty days is an archetypal period in several wisdom traditions, likely stemming from humanity’s observation of the Venus Cycle in the heavens. The retrograde phase signifies the end of one and the beginning of a new cycle – that is 1.6 years – and it is a good time for letting go of what no longer serves love and for reorienting ourselves.
Venus as Morning Star or Evening Star
The alternating phases are symbolically called Yang and Yin phases. Ancient civilizations, like the Mayans for example, regarded Venus, the Morning Star, as a warrior goddess, and in her Evening Star phase she was the goddess of love. The ancient Greeks named her Afrodite Pandemos and Afrodite Urania, respectively. This dual nature of Venus may have been forgotten in more recent times, and yet Galileo Galilei when turning his telescope to the heavens, (re)discovered the phases of Venus already at the turn of the 17th century.1From Cosmos and Psyche (2007), by Richard Tarnas, p. 296
“Transcending this duality, so that we can reflect the love that is the core principle of Venus and the universe, is the major challenge currently faced by humanity.”
Arielle Guttman
Venus Pandemos – Yang
When Venus rises as a Morning Star, she is at her closest to Earth. As Afrodite Pandemos she was believed by the ancient Greeks to be more associated with sensual pleasure, love between people, family life, economics, and worldly affairs.
The goddess was particularly worshipped for her ability to unite “all the inhabitants of a country into one social or political body”.2https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aphrodite_Pandemos
Contemporary astrologers seem to agree on associating Venus, the Morning Star, with the sign of Aries with an emphasis on being extrovert and a first mover. She is also connected to Taurus as the wisdom keeper and Earth Goddess of this sign.
Yang quality is about how we give.

Venus Urania, 1786, by Erik Pauelsen (1749-1790). He was a Gemini Evening Star. Venus in his natal chart was part of a stellium in Scorpio.
Venus Urania – Yin
Venus as Evening Star, looks up to the heavens, and she is at her farthest from Earth in that phase. She is a love goddess who encourages people to aim for virtue, beauty, and for a spiritual, inner connection to love and the divine.
Urania is the muse of astronomy and celestial poetry, and to the ancient Greeks, Venus Urania was the archetype of a transcendent, intellectual, spiritual love.
In astrological terms she is associated with the sign of Libra and thus an invitation to regard your partner as a sacred ‘other’ or perhaps knowing Urania as a heavenly muse.
She wears a crown of stars as the daughter of Ouranos, the Sky God. She carries the wisdom of the stars and is believed to inspire artists, poets and philosophers.
Yin quality is about how we receive.

I invite you to feel into the two different qualities of the Venus archetype for yourself. You can find your personal Venus Star Point here and discover whether your are Morning or Evening Star. Look for the conjunction prior to your birthday.
I believe our moment in time is for integrating ‘the the heights and depths’. And as Venus Pandemos is associated with both Aries and Taurus, Venus Urania may be associated with Scorpio as well as Libra through Mars’ traditional association with Scorpio.
How ever, fact remains that Venus is both Yin and Yang, and we may enjoy expanding our perception and experience of Venusian qualities to being masculine-Venusian and feminine-Venusian. Through her changing phases, we have the opportunity to cocreate in the modalities of both giving and receiving.
May we arrive at a new collective experience of Heaven on Earth – ‘move through the opposites’ and beyond duality, and perhaps we will no longer differentiate between heavenly and earthly love – in other words embody our spirituality.
I am offering two poems that came to me when feeling into Venus Urania and Venus Pandemos.
Diamond Heart
I am Venus Urania
With stars in my crown
I delight in divine love
Rejoice in my being
I travel high in the sky
Gather nectar of cosmic love
To share with you
My earthly siblings
I see your longings
I alchemize your pain
Your fear of separation
From the beloved
Know, there is no separation
Between loving hearts – between us
And it is my sacred mission
To remind you of this
Feel me in the depths of your Soul
Look up towards me in the sky
For beauty, clarity, and divine inspiration
I am your diamond heart
Forever Formless
I am Venus Pandemos
The flow of love in your body-mind
Forever offering you self-love
Meet me fully with your five senses
And they may transcend into a sixth
Look for me in your mirror
Honour me by loving you
Reveal my magic girdle that attracts
I am passionately in love with my nature
With all of nature
Breathe me into your body
I make choices in your womb-space
You may call on me for discernment
Inhale my frequency unpossessively
No one can own me
I am an archetypal force
Present where love is your intent
You may delight in creating forms of me
And I appreciate your sense of beauty
Yet, I am forever formless

In the West African Yoruba religion Oshun is associated with love, sexuality, fertility, femininity, water, destiny, divination, purity, beauty, wealth, prosperity, and the Osun River.
The artist’s creative play with Botticelli’s ‘Birth of Venus’ inspires a more comprehensive understanding of the Divine Feminine than Western astrology may have assigned to Venus in our times.

New Venus
The latest interior conjunction occurred on March 23rd 2025 at 2º39 Aries. It is this New Venus that opens the cycle. She rises in the sky and moves on to meet the Sun during the next exterior conjunction around which she disappears from view for a longer period of time (about 50 days). At the exterior conjunction she rises anew as an Evening Star – and continues until the next time she stations retrograde, begins her descent, transforms metamorphically, and begins the next cycle.
The 2º39 Aries point marked the current entrance point, and the Meta Goddess for the following 18 months (584 days, ending on October the 24th 2026) is informed by the archetype of Aries.8Some astrologers determine the Venus star point to be the so called heliacal rise, which is the day Venus becomes visible in the sky after her interior conjunction with the Sun. This point can vary between two signs as in this current period, where it can be located in Aries or Pisces according to where you live on Earth. This is a time to celebrate the pioneer and honour that archetype in ourselves, our communities, cultures, and in the global society.

A Personal Experience
The previous Meta Goddess was informed by the Sign of Leo, and this period began in 2023 when Venus was conjunct the Sun on August 13th at 20º28′ of Leo. Her retrograde movement, then, began on August 1st at 27° of Leo and ended on September 3rd at 12°14 of Leo.
This period became very significant for me, personally, as my Ascendant, Moon, Jupiter, and Pluto are all placed within precisely these degrees of Leo. I was launching a new website on social media, and I connected with a dear soul friend and star twin, then living in New York, and whom I feel I have known before.
It was also precisely in 2023 that I became acquainted with Arielle Guttman’s great work, Venus Star Rising,9Venus Star Rising: A New Cosmology for the Twenty-First Century Paperback – March 18, 2011 by Arielle Guttman which introduces nothing less than a new cosmology and illuminates and integrates the astronomy, astrology, sacred geometry, and the myth of Venus in a beautiful, powerful and wondrous way.
In 2023, while Venus was moving retrograde, I was also introduced to the Venus cycle and its association with the myth of Inanna – including the possibility of meditating on the 7-8 chakras on the days of the Venus-Moon conjunctions that symbolise Inanna’s journey to the underworld and her return.
The deeper I dive into the knowledge and wisdom of the Venus Star, the more I realise that this dimension of Venus seems to enter our life when we are ready for her, so to speak. Arielle Guttman’s groundbreaking work thus indicates that humanity has been ready for this deeper dimension of the Venus Archetype since 2011-12.
Through the Lion’s Gate of 2024, while the Meta Goddess was still informed by the sign of Leo, I was introduced to my now deeply cherished teacher and spiritual mentor, Ann Bromley, and later I enrolled in her exceptional programme, Sacred Leadership.
In the spring of 2025, after a meditation inviting me into magic and guided by her, I had the following experience:
I went to my bedroom to have a little rest, and I was wondering if anything magic would happen. There was a beautiful sunset which is always magic in itself, and after having relaxed for a while, I suddenly became aware that Venus was visible outside my window right above the tree.

Beautiful, shining Venus on her retrograde 40-day journey where she would be kissed by the Sun and return as a morning star on March 29th and then turn direct in mid-April 2025.
I was very moved by the synchronicity. It was as if Venus was peeking right into my room with her sparkling eye and inviting me to visit her, saying that she is my/our elder sister, and that I could arrive in the company of my Unicorn, Princess of Love, who happens to be from Venus.
I am in awe of how the Divine Feminine thus entered my life. I have been learning about the Venus Star in a whole new way, compared to how I used to be taught astrology when I began studying the Great Eternal Wisdom, 45 years ago.
The Venus Star in our birth charts connects us to the rhythm of the Cosmic Heart. It is a love far deeper than anything we may have ever known in our moment of human experience. And that love is a star gate, a point, inviting us into a deeper dimension.
The Venus Star and Relationships
The Venus Star Point not only teaches us about our innate gifts. The Star also illuminates archetypal patterns and wonderful possibilities in our relationships, and it shows us a way to bring about balance between giving and receiving. Awareness of the Venus Star can also help facilitate and harmonise dynamics within families and in all kinds of groups.
There is a flow of cosmic love moving through the Zodiac with Venus following a rhythmic pattern. This flow influences our lifestyles and cultures to a far greater extent than we may have realised. The Olympic Games, for example, were originally held every 8 years, probably in sync with the Venus Cycle. And they were all about play and having fun and not about competition at all.
Every child who has been taught how to draw a star has this pattern of Venus’ trajectory through the Zodiac ingrained as common knowledge. The five points of the Star are moreover connected in the birth chart in a way that can be understood as head, arms and legs, illustrated by the symbol of the Vitruvian Wo(Man) placed inside the Star.

Your personal Venus Star Point then becomes the ‘head’, or ‘heart-head’ of the star. The star consists of:
- The two previous star points prior to yours
- Your personal Venus Star Point
- The two following points
Because of a ‘feeding’ principle10The Danish word for feed is ‘føde’ which can mean to either give food or to give birth to. An interesting nuance, I believe, to the feeding principle in the flow of the Venus Star. in the sequence of star points, meaning that the sign of one star point feeds the next, the two points preceding your personal Venus Star Point will be respectively a receiving leg and a receiving arm. And the following two points are your giving hand and giving leg.

The Venus Star thus becomes important in our relationships. You can become aware of three kinds of archetypal dynamics in your relationships by reading your Venus Star and the Star Point of people you are related to.
Karmic Relationships
You can be connected through the ‘legs’ of your star which indicates karmic relationships in which we are given a chance to balance karmic issues and to develop the higher love that Venus represents. Relationships of this kind tend to be lifelong, often marriages, and they can be harmonious and well functioning because the receiving person will want to support the ‘feeding’ person. There may be a need to balance a tendency of the ‘giving leg’ to control the other – especially in child-parent relationships.
Creative Relationships
Connections between your head star point and the arms of the star indicate creative relationships without special emphasis on karmic entanglements. You may both feel free to come and go and to share and inspire each other with your creativity. These are playmates to enjoy spending time with. An example of this kind of relationship is Mick Jagger and Keith Richard whose playfulness has amazed millions of people.
Star Twins
And if the Venus Star Point of two persons is in the same sign (within 0-10 degrees), you are star twins, and you will experience a deep, intuitive understanding of each other.
Groups
And finally concerning groups – if the Venus Star Points of a group create a full Venus Star, the chances are excellent for a successful group that can work, play, live, and simply be together in creative harmony. In family groups, missing points of the Venus Star can be provided by aunts, uncles, grandparents, close friends or others who care deeply for the family.
The potential for creating harmonious groups with the Venus Star is unlimited.

Divine Feminine
Behind Inanna, Ishtar, Persephone
Is the Black Light
The Eternal Mother
Whole, complete, undivided
Every story of the hero/ine
Begins there – returns there
May our memory of her heal and rebalance
Through the simple language of love
The truth of which we sort of forgot
Her tales may be told as silence
Or the shape of a beautiful cake
By the ones who nurture and care
They may be told as feelings
Paintings or sentient love songs
Of longing, trust, and homecoming
From her womb new stars are born
As outlived forms infold to rest
May we all welcome the transmutation
